JAMES CURRAN IS BOSTON'S BEST WOMEN'S HAIRCUT

The Improper Bostonian did it again!  They made an excellent choice this year by awarding our stylist, James Curran Boston's Best Women's Haircut. The magazine writes, "Clients respond to Curran's laid-back approach, feeling instantly at ease in his chair...he provides thoughtful input and proceeds to expertly style them (he's masterful with bangs)."

James has been a force on Newbury Street for 25 years and this recognition is truly going to a talented artist and person.  Congratulations James!


FRESH NEW FACES

We are very excited to welcome two new faces to the I Soci Salon team. Color Specialist Valerie Metros, has been an established colorist for almost 20 years. Her career with color began in Boston after studying with Vidal Sassoon in Miami and LA, and Bumble and Bumble in NYC. After establishing a huge following and working as an educator for Goldwell, Valerie decided to embark on a new adventure in Miami. Working at SNIP in the popular BASE on Lincoln Road she worked on artists for the MTV Music Awards, the Style Network, and Cirque de Soleil and became THE colorist for the in demand modeling business in Miami. Things have come full circle for Valerie and during the summer of 07' she decided to return to the area and join the I Soci Salon team.

And beginning March 11th Mondi Hodgdon Eyebrow Specialist from the Award Winning Team at Michaud Cosmetics on Newbury Street will be making her home with us. Michaud will actually be closing its doors which presented us with the wonderful new addition of this eyebrow guru!

ALLISON MCGARRIGLE IS BOSTON'S BEST COLORIST

The fabulous judges at the Improper Bostonian voted Allison as Boston's Best Hair Colorist. They wrote the following description on Allison, "I Soci's resident color specialist, she's been with the salon for seven years, tending toward natural color that accentuates her clients' best features." "Her strength lies in her ability to listen to people's desires and translate them into hues that fit their dreams, lifestyle and skin tone."

We are extremely proud of Allison, her work and the way she treats all of her clients and co-workers. She is truly Boston's Best!
